Both my brother and I both use the Odyessy Two Ball putter. After a few frustrating holes missing putt after putt by just a fraction, I decided on my own to observe where Jerry's putter head was faced. The club face was clearly facing to the left of the hole... I remained silent until after he finished putting. He missed the shot an inch to the left of the hole. Since there was no one behind us, I explained to Jerry what I saw. He didn't believe me so we spend about five minutes checking out his alignment. He opened the club just a "hair" and started sinking every putt. He kept sinking every putt for the rest of the game. Once we hit the eighteenth hole I asked him to do the same thing for me. He watched me set up a straight line to the hole. He observed that I was aiming to the right of the hole. I didn't believe it either. We worked on it for about five minutes (there was no one behind us). I realized that I needed to close the putter face just a "hair." Beginning my next game I began to sink putt after putt instead of missing to the right a fraction of an inch. I've had one 27 putt and one 28 putt game since getting Jerry's assistance aligning my putter face. I'm sinking putts from every distance.
The tip is to get another person to stand opposite you in line with your target line. The other person can see where you are actually aiming your putter head. Apparently our eyes and/or brains play tricks with us.
